Ebay: Baked Mineralize Palette

So I purchased this palette from ebay...

So far I have nothing but good things to say about this palette. All of the colors are very pretty, pigmented and of course shimmery. I bought this palette as one of my B-day gifts to myself last month. I went to the MAC store to Back 2 MAC some things and I saw that MAC came out with a new collection which featured quite a few mineralize eyeshadows and also a of couple blushes. Needless to say I was greatly disappointed to find out that the eyeshadows were $20.00 while the blushes from this line had to be somewhere around $30!! To be honest, I have really backed up from MAC lately because their prices are continuously rising. I mean seriously, their eyeshadows have gone from $14.00 to $14.50 to now $15.00 all within the last few months. I mean come on...I do not understand what they are doing. Especially with when their are plenty of comparable drug store dupes.

I really love the palette and it is in my opinion comparable to the MAC mineralize eyeshadows. So if you are looking to purchase some of MAC's mineralize eyeshadows check out this palette from ebay. I think I paid a total of $23.00 with shipping; compared to the $20.00 for the single shadow from MAC. I just added 3 dollars and got 11 more eyeshadows. So....Yay me right!!! If you are fed up with MAC raising their prices like crazy this might be a good palette for you. Now I am not saying that I will not purchase MAC again because that would be a total lie, but I have definitely slowed down on purchasing it. I try to look for cheaper alternatives whenever possible.

Til' next time,

C.

The Science of Black Hair (Follow up review)

Hey guys,

As promised here is my take on The Science of Black Hair Care book. I have only skimmed through the book, but the book seems very well written much like a text book. The book has a lot of good information in there regarding how to take care of afro-textured hair; relaxed as well as natural. This book has become my reference point for when I am not sure about certain products or hair tools (i.e. proper flat iron tempertures). It gives you a general reference point of how to get hair healthy and keep it that way.

So I must say overall I am impressed with this book. I would recommend this book to any one who does not know how to take care of their hair. I would also recommend this book to someone who needs help developing a hair regimen (relaxed or natural). And finally, I would recommend this book to someone who wants to know more about the actual science of hair. Being the type of person I am (short attention span)...I would probably not pick this book up and read it page for page because as for me there are more things that I find interesting to read about than my hair ( I know a great deal about hair already). However, I will use this book regularly as a reference point to keep my hair healthy. In closing, I would definitely recommend this book.

Toning up!!!

So I went to try on clothing yesterday because believe it or not it has been at least about two years since I have bought a new pair of jeans and what not. While I was trying on clothes, I was not happy with what I was seeing. The clothes fit, but I was not happy with the way that the clothes were fitting on my body type. Therefore, I decided it is time for me to stop being lazy, complacent and full of excuses. It is time for me to tone up, especially around my tummy and mid-section (muffin-top is not hot!!! LOL). After I had my baby 19 months ago I kicked off my workout routine really motivated. But now, not so much. I think I got bored with the same routine. So now to the point right?? I had been eyeing this spin bike for some time now...
Product Details

I finally got enough money to get it so I am super-uber (is that even a word)excited for it to arrive. It is time for me to become diligent about keep my body in as best shape as possible. After all the bible declares that our bodies are the temple of the holy ghost. So I want my temple to be clean and ready on the outside as well as on the inside.

In closing, I will be toning up by spinning and just doing regular exercise videos since I cannot afford a gym membership right now. I actually prefer to workout at home anyway, that way I do not have to take my kids to the gym and worry about them while I am working out and they are in the daycare. Also, I don't have to use those unsanitary showers (I suffer from germ-o-phobia...don't judge me! LOL).

So if you feel the same way I do or if you just desire a change join me on my journey. That's it for now. TTYL.

Getting back in the Swing

Hey guys,

I guess it is high time that I get back into the swing of things. I have just been going on with life and I feel that I have totally abandoned you guys. But please rest assured that you were in my thoughts. You know how you get when...you know you need to get certain things done, but you are just to lazy to do it? Yeah, I have been having one of them months. Aside, from that I was blessed to have another birthday this month. Thank God! I know some people dread having there birthday because they start to feel old. But in this day in age it is nothing but a blessing to see another day, let alone another year. People are at a place where they are hopeless and killing themselves as well as others. So when I say that I Thank God, I truly mean it I truly Thank God! I hope all is well with you guys and now on to the postings. Take care for now and look forward to the new posts. Oh...and BTW Happy New Year!
